Seeing how mage suicde it just a balance provider. Let's just limit it a bit?

Just set a limit like this, even for clan attacks.

If failed attacks > 60 then print "Too many attacks" Or something. I'm sure you get the idea.

Just have the attack counter go down by 2 every 10 minutes and when its at 40 they can be attacked again. So they have 10 intervals (1:40) to not be suicided.

Play with the numbers. But I think that's the best bet. I agree with Slasher. Any type of attack that involves guys to mages is a poor idea.

The other option we could do is implement a new ground attack that generally destroys buildings and land from the game. It kills % of the population and mages and such like that like .5% and can't be shielded against.

So it would be destroying land from the game (A comodity) and then also builidings, troops, mages, peasents. Sorta like a Scourched Earth Attack.

In all seriousness, now that I've thought of that. That WOULD help correct some of the land locking issues with someone taking a lead, getting broken and then stealing the land back. With instead, it just being dumped.

I like it except for the land being removed from the game - instead, why not have a purely destructive attack (pillage?) that destroys buildings without taking away the land that it frees that way. As well as that, it would destroy a certain percentage of peasants and mages. Gives indies a way to retaliate without destroying stuff from the game.

Thing is, the point of suicides is to lower ratio - so if the attack takes land, it won't lower ratio. Which is bad, since then you lose the whole purpose of suicides.

I know I keep saying this.

But one of the changes will do just that. When you attack, 50% of the buildings are destroyed and 50% are conserved, but have lowered efficiency I think...

So that's in the works. We need something that destroys land from the game, other than just dumping. It fixes a much needed balance issue with mage tanking.

Wut happened to Shadow's and amazing's net?
It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!

Not to mention that both my runs prior and post takedown were screwed over by tax bug.

Fun fight though. Arty's round.
