I don't agree with the locking of the thread, but I assure you that bashing Shael won't do anything to further your cause. She was just trying to maintain peace, and had such an event occured here, I'm sure that we would not be beyond considering such methods.

I'm biased towards Shael. So sue me.
Shael does this frequently. She locked the GPL topic after Nick said "it was pointless."

But I have to agree, bashing Shael doesn't do us good.

I would at least have the decency to post a reason.

Hi Aus - based on your post I see that you have completely misunderstood the message and purpose of the Burninate page, so please take the time to re-read it, together with the disclaimer. Thank you.
Secondly, I have always held Shael, as an admin, in contempt, and so do many people - including at one time Holby, I believe. I usually do not bash her, since it's not my policy to bash people (that would be Wolf Bite's policy) except when she does something quite crazy like locking that topic.

An interesting point is that, dislike Wolf Bite as much as I will, he has done much to herd the unruly bunch at RWL into a more respectable community. Iron fist in a velvet glove you might say. Except of course, that doesn't help when one is being unjust too, as the recent spat between him and me showed. Completely banning me would have solved the problem much more smoothly for him than allowing me to denounce him rather obviously in a debate which he lost. However, that's in a great part Vera's achievement. I would have lost to him left to my own devices. Notice the windmill logic... :P

[edit] Aus, don't theorize as to why FaF is "unpopular". FaF is not released yet, it is buggy, and we are not advertising for it. When we finish it, we will take care to advertise it properly, and if it's still unpopular then - which I highly doubt - then you are welcome to come back and make management suggestions. As I currently see it, the world does not consist entirely of "For RWL" and "Against RWL".

Well isn't this just a lovely pleasant little topic. *Rollseyes*
Beatles.. I get that you have very little time, me too.

Aus- You are trying to be reasonable and help, good, but believe me, I don't think talking to Beatles about this will do anything but piss him off more. I know because I often feel the way he does. (Course rather than the Admins, I hold most of the human race in contempt *laughs*.) I don't think you misunderstood so much as forgot that it was written as a humor piece as should be read as such. True its a little mean to certain members of RWL, but if it wasn't it wouldn't be funny. Maybe I should take stuff with a slightly smaller grain of salt, but most stuff I read I take with a a rather large one anyway, cause most of its untrue, even supposedly factual things are often wrong. So that's my two cents.. don't yell at me for expressing my opinion now.

Well, I don't see how we insult anyone at all in RWL.
Also, I am not angry now, though I was yesterday... at this point my feelings are just "screw them, it's over their heads". And I'm a bit tired.

[edit]Isn't that the same thing, Volkov? He took it to be what it is not, and what it is plainly written in the disclaimer that it is not.

Meh. I guess. But no reason to bite his head off for it. However I am currently battling Shael over her attitude.. so any antiShael posts you make are fine with me... for now at least.

[edit] I wasn't saying they were nessecarily insulting, I could just see how they could be construed that way. I recognized that minute i saw it. But I also saw the humor, and to me it was and still is funny as hell.

That's usually a good attitude to have, usually works well for me. *laughs*.

And this is when I wish I had accepted mod powers.

I advise you to remove your use of that word.

Just think, if some new person joins and this is the first thing he or she sees.
Back. I think.

Volkov, tone it down please. Even 'hell' was stretching it, I suppose.
Zephyrus -> in a few days. PM me to remind me, please!

Yes, it could be construed...

The thing is that the word has ligit uses... So a filter would be too stupid to work.

I have read it, all of it, and I've read the disclaimer twice. ;)

Fine, Volkov, I guess you're right. I'll retract my statement. I guess I was just mainly disagreeing with the Burninate claiming their view was entirely unbiased, when in fact it was quite the opposite. To avoid further flame-debate, I'll be quiet now. :D

I don't see where they claim to be unbiased. They say it "Our veiw" which means they wrote it as it seemed to them, not in an unbiased way...

Exactly. All we were saying, that you construed to mean unbiased, was that all events we related correspond to things that happened at RWL, which is quite true. Obviously other people disagree as to the motives behind the events. (But we still think we're right.)
