Cashing is a lovely strategy - one that actually uses the much-maligned markets and tents. Unfortunately, it pales in comparison to Agrarian, Indy, and Hawking.

I propose that we think of ways to strength this strategy - perhaps along the lines of increased cash output? A boost to cashing also helps the ol' faithful, the Balanced strategy.

Thoughts?

A new hero that boosts cash by 50%?

not mine ;)
hawks make all my cash
I know japan uses almost all foragers, then sells the food to get cash..
some sell extra troops to gain cash

I dont know of anyone who really uses markets exclusivly to gain their cash

Double market output. That, combined with Bella (who makes 5 times more workers live in each tent) would make cashing an effective strategy. In addition, the plain old ballenced strat would get a boost to, even if they want to go for a different hero, or don't really want a hero at all.

I don't use markets, either. Not after my first run out of protection, anyway.

Some indy players do use markets though, Josh comes to mind. It would unduly strengthen them, effectively increasing their troops-on-land ratio by 1.5 or more.

Hmm. Double the cash each worker produces? That way, people would have to have tents as well as markets.

Hm, back to the drawing board...

Oh, how about strengthening tents instead? Most non-cashers never touch a tent.

Or increasing PCI if you have larger amounts of workers?

Heros don't fit into every strat, some market-based strats may call for a quick surge to the top, rather then sitting back and getting heros. Also, some new players may have a hard time getting that many troops and that much land. I used to have a auful time trying to get a hero. Then I actually learned how to run a decent strat...

it doesnt take much to get a hero.. maybe one day setback.. I usually only aim for methusa, the rune guy.. 'cause, you know, 50% more runes is uberspiffy...

heros can enhance every strat, but certainly arnt exactly nessisary..

Simple fact:

I made 400+ billion in 10,000 turns on the Challenge by selling food. No Hero, obviously. There is no way I would have gotten anywhere near that using markets.

Besides, many indys food sell anyway. If markets are made somewhat stronger, it doesn't really strengthen indy. At least, 99% of them won't get a boost.

Why? Then troop selling would be the only viable way besides hawks, and both food and cash would be useless. Still doesn't help...
