The Battle for Wesnoth is a free, open source game that recently reached its 1.0 release. It is an enjoyable mix of RPG and turn-based strategy games and one of the few truly complete free games. Readily available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux, it is accessible to nearly anyone.
Try it out! For Windows, only a mere 37 MB for a full game! The community is very friendly as well.
I can't say you'll like the format or graphics of the game, but it is an enjoyable and polished playing experience.

Hmm... is this site affiliated with Wikipedia. I notice a similar layout, and the whole powered by MediaWiki thing. Now that I think of it. The U of M has a ton of mirrors all over the place.
It ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!
Not a MMORPG.
It's a single-player campaign/story centered game with a pretty good multiplayer component.
No, nothing to do with Wikipedia.

If you go down to the woods today, you better not go alone
