An article in a Hungarian newspaper pointed out that all of Argentina's attacks on Serbia Montenegro came from the left side. They seemed to put a large concentration of players in one place, and broke through the defences that way. That certainly makes sense to me from looking at the replay. Such a strategy, if not countered or imitated by other teams, would very much put the chances of the Cup in their favour.
What'd you all think?

A flood attack? Are you telling me that the WC has been around for 75 years and they are just now discovering how to overload?
Err, what a novel idea. Perhaps some of the other major sports can copy that groundbreaking tactic. Next thing you know Basketball, Football, and Hockey will all be doing the same thing
In my opinion in oh about another 50 years futbol coaches will start sliding extra protection to the overloaded side and 50-60 years after that coaches will use that to their advantage and try to get a playmaker on one side then overload the other to create space for their playmaker.

I know the voices in my head arn't real but they usually have some pretty good ideas.

Sounds like a good tactic. If they didn't break any rules, then good for them. Obviously, someone on the other teams will figure this out and counter it, but it was prolly a one time thing. Overloads work well on a team that is disorganized, or really dumb.
I'd like to see them try that against a good team and watch it blow up in there face.

Well if it's as Beatles said, I don't think that they would try it on a good team.
But I like Nuke's response anyway cause I like humor. *laughs*.
But is this the first time those tactics have been used? Cause if it is, that's rather astonishing.

Very doubtful. But perhaps the first time it has been successfully utilized on the World Cup level (e.g. a team bad enough to fall for it)?
