Smithies produce military but how much military per smithie? (formula if you can)
I have read the guide on attacking and theres a good number of ways to attack , can someon
tell me what attacks are best for when and can you provide the formulas for attacking as well?
Any tips/advice I didn't ask about is welcomed.
Workers make money for your empire via taxes. They eat a small amount of food as well, but not much. They will automatically immigrate or emmigrate depending on whether or not you have room for more. In essence it's a case of "if you build it they will come." the amount of money they make is (number of workers) X (per capita income, or PCI) X (income tax rate) = cash gained from workers. Income tax rate is set under empire management, the lower the tax the more people will be added to each tent. PCI is determined by your racial bonus for income and the % of your land in markets, with a PCI of $25 for an empire with a 0 to income bonus and no markets.
Don't remember the formula for the smithies here, sorry.
Typically a standard (STD) attack is used as a means of waging war since it destroys the most troops, surprise is used if you're a rookie, and the other 4 are the ones used most often for "peaceful" attacking. Check the guide under military units to see how each units offense/defense stats look like to get an idea of which ones you want to focus on the most, and go with that. Most people play with one or two strong troop types and skimp out on the rest, that way they can always ensure that they can grab land effectively. Some people will even play with 100% of their troops in one troop type, all depends on what your preference is and how the game is going.
When attacking the formula is (your offensive points) / (their defensive points) and you must beat them by 5%. So if your enemy has 10,000 militia he would have 20,000 defensive points, so you would need at least 20,100 defensive points. 10,500 militia should do it.
Anyway I'm tired, if I made no sense just say so and I'll clarify tomorrow.
I know the voices in my head arn't real but they usually have some pretty good ideas.
