Like Philip only more war like and in the games.
We once built a script encoded into the games that created a game account for every account created by users, each time a user created a new account, the script would create one. New users could not see the accounts created because they created at the same time, but when they viewed the scores page they would see another player online.
Every time the human ran turns, the actions where recorded by the same AI, once the human logged off then the AI would run its turns.
It was simple really
AI; would not attack unless attacked, then eye for an eye
AI; races would strat according to their stats
AI names; they would choose from a bank of old account tags, some times naming them backwards making it harder to find some one you had a beef with.
AI; typically logged off when humans where online. I think my fellow coder made them do that.
AI; would respond to PM's with much the same as Philip does
Humans; I respond much the same as Philip does.
AI/Human Death; in the event an AI or its Mirror Human was demised 'killed' the script would attach the AI/Human to another AI/Human. It didn’t discriminate who it wanted to mirror
AI Mirroring; the AI would mirror any active accounts with exception to the admin or inactive accounts it was hard coded not to mirror any admin, disabled, new or vacation accounts

Lets kick this around a while see if you guys don’t want to experiment with it?
Unfortunately I don’t have that code any longer it was lost with the server
I only remember a few short scripts to fix the math..
