Clan Dropping Exploit

This is an exploit that has already been banned from many prom sites. A clan works together right? Not with this strat!!

The clan member selected by other members to be the emp raises his net without worrying about taking land from many others. Suddenly one of the other clan members goes on a rampage. taking 20k acres or so at a time. Then at a set time, this landholder takes down all his defenses in a specified way and the emp drops from the clan to attack him a few times for a lot of land.

I have seen this happen with a certain clan in BFR and I will not name any names unless the admin asks me to, but I have documented proof and can provide it at any time.

This is an exploit that needs to stop if we are to have fair competition. Two tribes are either allied or enemies. You cannot be both!

We know and we have measures to deal with this. If its a problem an admin will deal with it.

If it's against the rules here make that clear, otherwise don't complain about it. I've been trying to make clan hoping against the rules at rwl for ages, and it never seems to fly.

I was being sarcastic about working together. The clan is very much working together when they do this. It is about manipulation of numbers.

Freen, maybe you should make this clear...Is clan jumping against the rules? Should it be a case of in or out. An easy way to fix that would be to disable the "leave clan" function, but you would probably get many complaints about that

If it is against the rules we won't do it, no need to disable anything...

However, I have never seen any indication that it wasn't against the rules, and have used it before on both servers without any complaints, so making a rule against it suddenly now that it is being used to lock is foolish.

That's why I asked Freen and not you. He says they know about the problem and are dealing with it. Apparently we are both asking the same question...What, how, and why. (ok, that's three questions!

If you want to fix it

1: 3 days or 72 hours before you can leave a clan you just joined.
2: admin approved release say if you joined a clan and donâ€™t like the way they are playing or their rules regarding membersâ€™ military actions
3: 3 days or 72 hours to rejoin a clan you just left

These are the standard examples throughout the proms

Anyway, we have measures for dealing with this. Its normally not a problem so we never really saw the need to deal with it.

However, if some people are jumping in and out of a clan to get rid of the hit limit, and it is noticed and documented over the course of a few days. We can simply either ban the player for the set. Delete the account, delete the clan, or I'd prefer unlimited hits for 24 hours.

There is a defined plan of stuff we're going to do. Don't assume we don't have rules for everything. If you don't think we do, ask for clarification, not scoff at our system.

what are the rules for this then? Explain them clearly before going through consequences. I have never seen them documented anywhere.

Because there hasn't been a case of it in some time. There are no written rules in public since most of the players etiquette was discarded. IF this is a problem for you Shadow, then I suggest you correct the issue before someone complains and documents it. Otherwise if you're not doing it and no one else is, its not really a problem.
