How to obtain warships?
Possible mentor wanted depends how much they are on or just help from whoever?

I have an idea how to play just need to learn descriptions of what everything is. How to obtain everything?

Warships here are called Triremes or Quinqueremes. You can get them one of two ways. Either you can buy them on the market, or you can make them yourself, using a strategy known as "indy" or industrial. Basically you build a bunch of barracks (or whatever we call them here) and set up your production values so you make mostly or all of the ship types. To buy stuff, you can either build markets, which make cash, or you can build farms and sell the food for cash, or you can build Dens, which make spies, which can then be used to generate cash by running missions.
