As bugs and suggestions are fixed/implemented/rejected, they will be moved in here.

I think there should be a way to remove bounties. I set one on a guy, and then we made peace, but I still have a huge bounty on him. It should probabley work so you can't remove them until three days or so have past, otherwise you might have people useing bounties as a bank, put an imposible bounty on someone, wait while you get attacked, then remove your cash. Or, you could just make a high removel fee, say, 50%. That way, people would only remove bounties if they didn't want the guy killed anymore.

The reason we don't allow remove is so people couldn't 1. be swindled out of a bounty (by having it removed before it's fillled) and 2. can't use the bounties as "aid". I don't see how to solve that.

Have a lag time between calling off the bounty?

Or just pay the most significant attacker (who is not setter) since time of bounty at the time you retract it.

Hunter still gets payed.
Setter already lost their money anyways.
Target doesn't die.

There you go.

But mind you, it has to be the most significant because you don't want the setter to have a buddy attack target right before he retracts.

And most significant is subjective, varying by time, clan affiliation, whatnot.
[edit] You could even fake "most significant".

Hmm, what if the target gets the bounty? But then it's also like free aid. What if the bounty money is just lost? Or goes into the Raffle jackpot? (Kind of like the stash in the upper right hand corner in Monopoly called free parking or whatnot.)

Most damage done I would say.

Yeah. Raffle it. Except then the guy who set it could play the Raffle, and if no one else played, he could win it all back... But if we implement the system where everyone has to buy at least one ticket, then it wouldn't be too likly for him to win...

I thought our whole point is we don't want to rip off the hunters.

Yeah, true. Another whole point though was not to make bounties a ghetto aid system.

True... But how would you calculate the most damage?

Take two turns to retract?

Perhaps hide the bounty imediately, then only remove it a week later. So only people previously engaging the on the bounty would know, and would attack.

but they might stop when they see it gone. they will either figure it was completed or "retracted" now.
