I'm proposing a battlefield server. The races don't really matter to me, but we should dump clans, give infinate attacks, and give an amount of grain or troops for repelling an attack. There's where I hit a problem. This net system is new to me. You should get about... 1-2% of your attacker's net. Of course, from that springs a tag teaming problem, but that's nothing our great staff couldn't sort out.
I'm really hoping this doesn't get dumped in a forgotten topics bin somewhere in the dark reaches of the forums. Yoman out!
So, basically you want a ripoff of a Valhall game with some substitute for points? It sounds good in theory, but nobody likes games like that any more. Look at QMT Turbo for example, oh wait you can't because nobody played it and they removed it, so let's use Valhall Battlefield as an example, it has around 10 players. Hardly a way to get more players.

If anything, I would suggest you guys get an EZClan code. EZClan games had 200+ players every set up until a few months ago when there were some problems at what was at the time the only EZClan game there was. The normal code you can get it full of Bugs, but the one that had 200+ players every set's code is going to be made open source very soon, so if whoever wants I can let them know once it it, because that would most likely bring more, definately more than a "battlefield" game.

And just for arguments sake, what is the point in getting net when someone fails an attack on you? Like.. why not something else? When makign suggestions anywhere you should support your idea instead of just throwing it out there.

I was just saying if you want to get more players, a Battlefield-type game is a waste of your time, I didn't mention anything about changes of any kind. *laughs*

We need like 20 or 30 to be significant.

We have 18 people playing BFR.

10 people would be more then a 50% increase.

I'd say that's significant.

I think Death's point was that it wouldn't actually attract new players, and the "market" for a battlefield server is small. He pointed out that a popular promi game only had 10 players on that kind server; potentially all of which were regular Valhall players anyway.

We had less than 8 on there before. Now we have 15 (3 Protections). 10 would be nice, but your not much compared to the 15 before.

Your right in saying 10 is alot compared to what we have. But for any major increase we need to double what we have.

Also. We should make the month of July, all members month. Meaning all the active forum members and admins play. That would help the player base a ton. Or save this until we release new code and such. Whatever. IF we start a release with a larger base than normal, even its bloated from retired players, then we stand a better chance of attraction and keeping players.

Devari understood. The market for Battlefield type games is basically nonexistant, but the one for EZClan games is quite huge.

You guys could also try actually advertising.

Yeah. BFR picked up as did WoA. We assume it's because of that, but we're unsure.

What would you suggest for advertising Death?

You can just work like an adbot, going around posting links on random sites. Annoying but effective.

In my mind is now how I got into promi. I was in some FE forum and there were link to FEE. I tried it and then started other games too.
